Frothers Unite! UK

Salems lot is the best King novel by far. The Stand was ok but I preferred The Shining.
I really liked the Mist as well.

I like the Long Walk a lot. When people say 'The Hunger Games' is just 'That Japanese thing that bores me rigid' I always reply 'No, it's the Long Walk with the brain removed and a happy ending'

The Running Man reads as slightly juvenile. Good but not great.

Salem's Lot for me as well, though The Stand is wonderful.

Salem's Lot is his best work IMO. I like the Stand as well, but the 90's revamp totally ruined it.

The Long Walk & The Running Man from the Bachman Books are worth a read.

I thought it was as boring as LotR, it's only saving grace was the lack of songs. It also has THE worst ending I've ever read. The hand of God? May as well of had the fucking eagles turn up and save the day. Piss poor. Salem's Lot is the only King book I've enjoyed. Unfortunately it was also the first King book I read, so I trudged through quite a few more hoping for something as good but was always disappointed.

The Stand was an great read. As was Salem's Lot, It and Christine. Could never get on with The Shining though.

It all started going wrong with The Tommyknockers. I know he was off his face on drugs at the time, but fucking hell how many times can you write about menstruation in a novel? "Hey guys, I'm a New Man, I can write about periods without embarrassment. Look, I'm talking about MEN-STRU-A-TION!!! No-one's ever done that before, see that character? She's bleeding!!! From her cunt!!! Blobby, Blobby, Blobby!!! (Or should that be "Bobbi, Bobbi, Bobbi!!!"?)"

He certainly picked up the ball he kicked with 'Carrie' and ran with the fucking thing.
