can you ping the router in dos? what do your network properties show as when you look at them?

As the topic title says...

Can't connect my PC to the web, it was connecting earlier in the week - I certainly updated my AV software (avast) that day, and have Windows update running in the background (so haven't a scooby if it updated owt)...

I'm on Windows ten, which has been pain free up till now.

Machine is connected to a plusnet router - via Ethernet cable over the electrical wiring system (using those plug things) - never had a problem previously.... All other devices - phones, tablets and a laptop connecting wirelessly no problems.

Any suggestions?
