I've loved this period since A level history, love the figures, the history, great for board games at strategic level, kriegsspiel, superb for committee games around trying to forge alliances or make peace - buggered if I can find or write a set of rules that feels right for the tactical side. All those fucking lovely pikes and just when you think you've got it sorted out, some bugger comes along and tells you that all the stuff about charging Swedes and slow Imperialist pistoleers was bollocks.
Still - lovely pics, ta.
I shall go and scribble some more on my ever growing rules notes.
