In 2006, I finished my thesis, which in many ways was an examination of America’s historical understanding of itself as “special” — Manifest Destiny, if you will — using its transition from killing to managing native populations while it simultaneously transitioned from a continental to a global empire as my research object.

When I was done with it, Ana had one question: “You’ve proven that America can’t do without Manifest Destiny and we also know that the end of that is coming soon. Don’t you think you are being a little too apocalyptic and, well, American when you suggest that this may also be the end of the world?”

And I said “You may be right. Maybe what I say is just and even more rarified form of American Exceptionalism. But what is America going to do when it discovers that it can’t rule the world, lock itself out from the world, or make the world just like it?”

Now we know America’s response: “I’m gonna take my ball and go home AND if you don’t play the way I say you should while I am at home, I will set the whole street on fire.”

Now that's not fair -- he's busy protecting Thomas Edison:

Hey, we invented the wheel! Yay Murica!

“Against all wisdom we impute
Unlikely virtues to the cute.”

So Republican voters’ excuse for Trump, then, would be what? Racism? Nativism? Misogyny? Because he ain’t cute and he hasn’t done fuck all for the country but take us to the brink of WWIII three times in two years.

Too bad for us kids don’t vote.

The real Reptillian strategy is to get dumbed-down, depoliticized working class kids even more depoliticized by saying shit like “There’s no difference between Hillary and Trump so why vote?”

There’s no difference if you are white, male, and over thirty. For anyone outside of that demographic, there are huge differences. John’s pissed, typically, because the Dems aren’t going to bring back pre-80s working class bennies. But those were never given by parties anyhow: they were forced by people in the streets and strikes — the exact same types of people Trump calls unpatriotic and urges his supporters to beat and kill.

So yeah, there’s a difference.

“Good looking” gives them electability. And credibility.
Have you ever seen an ugly singer? All female country singers have to be babes, or their records wont sell. Terri Clarke didn’t make it on her voice.
Ugly presidents? Not many. Well, Jimmy...
As P J O’Rorke once wrote about the Kennedys:
“Against all wisdom we impute
Unlikely virtues to the cute.”
It makes them electable.

You are one stupid cunt and I don't have to explain anything to you. Whereas you have been so busy big noting and blowing hard that you have made your "position" abundantly clear. It's mostly supine and hoping for scraps from the adults table.

You said YOU WERE ALL IN. Nothing about the candidates electability to the other mouth breathers. Nice try at changing what you said though. Have another drink you sad fuck, it may jog your memory.

So from what you said previously, and just tried to gabble, we can assume you find Trump more attractive than Hillary.

Brave stuff from a pretend good old boy with a micro-penis John, brave stuff...

Clean up on aisle 7 John, don't slouch.

I think pretty much everyone on earth should be allowed to as well. I wondered at the time if the two Yank parties were in some sort of deliberate one-downmanship contest, desperate NOT to win the presidential election.

'Hahaha we have nominated Hilary. Let's see the Republicans topping that! We will be safely out of Government when the Meteorite hits.......... what? They nominated WHO??????'

:D
Pretty much the way I felt when I voted.
I left the polls with a sour feeling in my stomach, ready to punch out anyone who asked me how I voted.

If the Dems nominate Mayor Pete and Tulsi, I’m all in. Let’s have some young good looking veterans. They’re much more likely to pull us out of those sandy shitholes.

Whatever happened to the days when candidates had respectability up the wazoo? Where are the Eisenhower vs Adlai Stevenson....
Oh wait. That would be 1952.

Veteran.
Good looking.
Your own hopes.

You don't deserve a vote.

“Kiss my ass”, he explained.
What are your criteria? Why are my hopes not valid?

Let's see, your criteria are...

Looks.
Military service.

You can't even discern obvious racism! So your hopes are probably a unicorn, a chance to be a real good old boy, and an improvement on your micro-penis.

Fuck off John you retarded cunt!
