I stopped by the National Civil War Naval Museum today, and picked up a model of the CSS Albemarle, by Thoroughbred Miniatures. I don't happen to play in that period, I just got it to support the museum and to paint.
I was wondering if anyone happens to know the typical basing arrangement that would be used for that type of a ship. I've got some stock balsa wood in various thicknesses that I can cut to the appropriate size. I may never game with it, but you know, just in case...
The miniature in question is 7.6 cm long (a little over 3"), and about 2 cm wide (a little less than 1").
Thanks! |

Most naval rules i've played, in the past, aren't too fussed about base sizes (they tend to measure from the centre of the ship), so unless you are planning on a particular set, i'd suggest you just go with whatever looks right - ie leave a bit of room at the stern for a wake. _________________ FOR SALE:TERMINATOR HUNTER KILLER TANK
